For the 10th Anniversary Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, ECCG turned out in force in Kinsale in west Cork. The beautiful seaside town is picturesque at the best of times so all we were hoping for was reasonable weather which we got. This was ECCG’s fourth year in succession to do the photowalk with previous events having been held in Midleton in 2014, Youghal in 2015 and Cobh in 2016.
We assembled outside the tourist office and started the walk at 11am heading across the water to the Scilly Walk to get some views of the town from that side. Then we retraced our steps back to the town centre, wandering through the streets up to the Carmelite church. Back then to the town centre and down Higher O’Connell St. and finished outside Acton’s Hotel where we retired for a well earned lunch.
Afterwards, the participants were entitled to enter an image into the competition which was won with this image by Paul Stack. This image now goes forward to the world competition. Well done Paul.
All-in-all, a great location, a great walk and some great photos too. Thanks to all the participants and to the people of Kinsale for a great day.
