Exhibition – Photographer of the Year 2014 – Midleton Library

An exhibition of images from East Cork Camera Group’s Photographer of the Year competition, 2014 went on display on Tuesday 24/11/15 at The Library, Main St, Midleton.

Comprising twenty-two images in all, the exhibition features the entire portfolio of ten images by ECCG’s Photographer of the Year, 2014, Karen Fleming, as well as the twelve winning Category images.

Judging in the competition was carried out by Mr. John Finn, ARPS, Travel and Portrait photographer, Mr. Rowan Thornhill and pictures editor of The Evening Echo, Mr. Brian Lougheed.

ROWAN THORNHILL – BEYOND THE INDUS

Photographed during three visits to India’s north, Beyond the Indus portrays the diversity and beauty of the people of Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Delhi.

Rowan Thornhill is a travel and lifestyle photographer based in Cork, Ireland. He has previously shot for Himalaya Magazine and Suitcase and is a contributor to the Swedish picture agency Linkimage. He has a huge passion for traveling and especially for India and the Himalayas.

In association with East Cork Camera Group, Rowan will give an illustrated talk to accompany his exhibition at the Midleton Park Hotel.

Exhibition opens at 4pm until 8pm.
