Cork Heritage Open Day – 19/08/2017

The Freemasons’ Hall, 25-27 Tuckey Street, Cork

Cork Heritage Open Day, the now yearly opportunity to view historic buildings in Cork, is a welcome invitation to see rooms, offices and workplaces that are not usually open to the public. The buildings are usually within walking distance from the city centre and there were 41 on view this year. All the famous ones were on view from churches, schools, galleries and working areas. Even banks with no money opened their doors! It was not possible to view all buildings open but to follow your own interests. Having visited three sites, the welcomes were warm and the Q and A were interesting.
