Cork County Finals – 22/10/2017

A historic GAA day in Cork: two senior County finals, football and hurling and also the Official Opening of Pairc Uí Chaoimh.

For the first time since 1998 the East Cork Divisional team, Imokilly,  won the Sean Óg Murphy Cup.  The team was captained by Seamie Harnedy from the St. Itas club.  It is the third win for Imokilly who won in 1997 and 1998 also.  The Final score was Imokilly 3-13  –  Blackrock 0-18.  The goals for Imokilly were scored by Seamie Harnedy,  Cian Fleming from Aghada and Brian Mulcahy from St. Catherine`s. There were 16,000 at the game at this stage “probably” all from East Cork.

The football game was won by Nemo Rangers who beat St. Finbarr’s by the score 4-12 to 3-13.
