This Code of Conduct has been prepared by the Group in order to protect the members of the Group and to ensure that each member benefits and enjoys their membership of the Group and the pleasure of photography.
The Code applies to all East Cork Camera Group members during the course of club business, activities and /or events, formal or informal, including but not limited to, workshops, events and meetings, as well as any email or written correspondence between member to member or between Member to Committee.
Group Rules:
- All members must abide by the Code of Conduct
- Control your behaviour – Abuse of other members and the general public is not acceptable.
- Treat all members fairly and with respect
- Refrain from behaviour that constitutes harassment, to members or the general public, including but not limited to: written or verbal abuse, threats, outbursts or inflammatory remarks; Unwelcome remarks, jokes, comments, innuendos or taunts; suggestive or obscene gestures; practical jokes which cause awkwardness or embarrassment; unwanted physical contact or assault. Also, sexual harassment including but not limited to sexist jokes; Display of sexually offensive material; Sexually degrading words used to describe a person; Inquiries or comments about a person’s sex life; Persistent unwanted contact; or sexual assault
- Co-operate with fellow members and Group Committee
- Content of photographs submitted for Group competitions or competitions representing the Group should be appropriate. Deliberate or malicious inaccurate criticism of other members work or the reputation of said member is prohibited.
- Photographs downloaded to the Group website should be only a copy and be appropriate. The Group have the right to reject photographs if they are deemed inappropriate.
- Activities or behaviour and / or conduct that injure or contribute to a health & safety issue for fellow members is prohibited.
- Comply with competition rules / criteria as set out by the current committee.
- Note: Breaches of this Code of Conduct will be dealt within the realms of the Constitution Of the East Cork Camera Group
