The East Cork Camera Group’s website has updated.
As well as a slightly new look we now have slide shows, light boxes, and a live help option.
On the way is a restricted area for the members of ECCG only.

Well done to Pamela McCarthy from ECCG for coming third in the SACC creative digital competition with her entry:”Fairy Pond”
Pamela brought home a bronze medal for her trouble, which she can put in pride of place on her mantelpiece.
Congratulations to Sean O’Brien from Dungarvan for coming first and to Paddy Tubbritt from Waterford for coming second.

All members wishing to exhibit in Shanagarry must have the entry form and associated images submitted by the 15th of May.

If anyone has any entries for the creative digital competition and are unable to make it to Kilkenny on the day (May 13th) bring your submissions along to the meeting on May 1st.
Read the rules first as any entry not in compliance will not be accepted. Also have a disc with a low resolution version of your images including your name, image title, club etc, in case it is needed.
Finally, don’t forget the brown envelope with, at minimum, the entry fee!!!!
All members wishing to have their work exhibited at the Stephen Pearce Gallery in Shanagarry must provide the following information by the meeting of 15th of May. Entries not received by this date will not be allowed in the exhibition. Entries which are incomplete by this date will not be allowed in the exhibition. There will be no exceptions to this as the information is required to prepare a hanging plan and exhibition catalog.

Next competition is the portrait competition, which is on the 15th May. Remember this competition is in black and white or mono.

The Southern Association of Camera Clubs are holding their creative digital competition on May 13th at St. Patrick’s Centre, Kells Road, Kilkenny.
The competition is starting at noon with the hanging of the images and three entries are allowed per photographer with an entry fee of 5 euro per image. Check out the rules here.
We would hope that the Neansai O’ Brien Perpetual Memorial Trophy would remain with ECCG as at the moment it is being lovingly admired on the side board of one of our members!
Have another look at your entries for the manipulation competition and the ones that you didn’t submit as there may be another winner lurking in the shadows.

East Cork Camera Group were proud to be involved in the first anniversary celebrations of Oaklodge Nursing Home in Churchtown South on Friday, April 13th.
A warm welcome was given to all by Adrian, his staff, and the residents of the nursing home.
The evening was a warm and dignified celebration of a year caring for people at the latter stage of their life.
