The first ECCG shoot of 2015 was at the Lisgoold P2P track in Templenacarriga for the United Hunt's, New Year fixture on Jan 4th 2015. The galloping right handed track situated on a massive 89 acres saw six races over the event that day run over 2 and half circuits with an approximate distance of 3 miles and an average of 10 horses competing per race. The last race of the day saw 18 horses compete.
The teeming rain, drenching mist and drizzle coupled with mucky and muddy field conditions did not deter the ECCG members from attending to shoot at this P2P event. All were suitably attired in raingear and wellingtons to brave the cloudy and wet conditions in order to capture challenging equine sporting images. Some races were a little eventful with some horses falling at and over the fences but, fortunately, none of them were injured that day. Some great images were captured including the jockeys and horses in the parading area and jumping over the second and last fences at the track.
Despite the wet weather conditions the shoot proved to be a worthwhile venture.
